The PAX sapiens Global Pandemic Prevention program joined global leaders, policymakers, and practitioners in global health at the 2026 Global Health Security conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Attendees from PAX included Global Pandemic Prevention Vice President, Sabeeha Quereshi Chief Operating Officer Conor Seyle, and Senior Fellows Drs. Rebecca Katz and David Bowen.
Speaking on a keynote panel session at the GHS conference, Dr. Seyle spoke about the importance of non-governmental organizations working in concert with other global health actors, to create systems that will best prevent global health outbreaks and pandemics.
The Global Pandemic Prevention program team also hosted a breakfast session, moderated by Sabs Quereshi, focused on advancing pandemic prevention through incentivization for reporting incentives, operational coordination, and sustainable financing. The discussion highlighted PAX sapiens’ work to strengthen global health security through initiatives such as the Health Security Operations Center (HSOC) and the Pandemic Compensation Initiative (PCI), demonstrating how cross-sector collaboration can enable earlier detection, faster response, and more effective outbreak prevention.
The Global Health Security conference provides a forum for leaders, researchers, policy-makers, and representatives from government, international organizations, civil society, and private industry to engage with each other, review the latest research and policy innovations, and agree solutions for making the world safer and healthier.
