PAX Beijing Office Chief Representative, Dr. Zhongqiang Ming and PAX Washington DC-based Global Health Security Senior Fellow Dr. Louise Gresham met with health experts on Nov 3–4, 2025 for the China–U.S. Dialogue on Global Health Cooperation at Tsinghua University’s Vanke School of Public Health. The event focused on science and policy synergies for pandemic preparedness and response from early warning to behavioral insights and policy implementation.
US and China researchers, public health leaders, and policy experts surfaced two days of deep, constructive dialogue in Beijing on lessons learned and collaboration on infectious-disease detection, IHR implementation, and the Pandemic Agreement.
Coordination and dialog between global public health stakeholders is crucial to effectively preventing future disease outbreaks and pandemics, particularly between China and the US.
