PAX sapiens’ 2025 report, The Blame Game Revisited: Evolving U.S. Perspectives on Opioids, Responsibility, and China, presents updated insights into how Americans perceive responsibility and cooperation regarding the opioid crisis, with a continuous focus on China’s role. In early 2025, researchers fielded responses from a new population sample of 2,000 adults from across the political spectrum to complete this cross-sectional survey. A follow-up to the 2024 report, it is methodologically consistent with the 2024 baseline and enables direct year-over-year comparison of public attitudes.
